Holistic teaching is based on a worldview that recognizes the interconnectedness of all things. This vision contrasts with the traditional approach to education, which tends to fragment knowledge into separate training areas. She seeks to create a learning environment that is meaningful and attractive to all students, and that promotes their integral development as people. This article explores the theoretical and philosophical foundations of holistic teaching. Some of the main influences on the development of this educational approach are discussed, such as holism, critical pedagogy, phenomenology, experiential learning theory, and constructivism.
