The Interoceanic Corridor of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, as a development alternative for the municipalities of Oaxaca 26 9

We intend to show an overview of the situation of the municipalities and regions of Oaxaca, respect to migration conditions and social aspects, so that it is possible to evaluate their capacity to participe in the development poles of the Interoceanic Corridor of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec (CIIT). However, the problem identified stems from the most municipalities in the state of Oaxaca have a high levels of marginalization, their populations have low levels of education, and they have a deeply rooted tradition of migration that will be difficult to overcome. All of these factors could therefore delay or eliminate the possibility of these populations accessing the benefits of the CIIT.
