In Mexico, logistics has been gaining ground over the last two decades, and more and more companies are recognizing and using it in their processes. In its dynamic adaptation to the changes occurring in international, regional, national, and local trade, the demands are no longer limited to its role within the supply chain, but rather to actions that demonstrate a commitment to sustainability. In this sense, logistics is now viewed not from a linear perspective, but a circular one, which addresses product life cycles, the bidirectional flow of materials, environmental impacts, and the management of returns and waste as essential components of the daily operations of production units. This study delves into the most critical logistical aspects for consolidating a circular economy in Mexican companies, considering that the country's productive base is largely composed of SMEs.
