The case of land tourist transport in Mexico, 2010 - 2022

The purpose of this article is to analyze the increase in the number of land-based tourist transport vehicles in Mexico in relation to the growth in the international tourist arrivals and the development of the national road network in México between 2010 and 2022, through a correlational statistical analysis. The results obtained show a positive relationship of each independent variable with the dependent variable. The Pearson estimation coefficient is 0.602 with the increase in the international tourist arrivals and the Pearson estimation coefficient is 0.869 with the increase in the national road network. This shows that both independent variables influence in the increase in land tourist transportation, but the development of the national road network influences more that the increase in the international tourist arrivals.
